GTA VI launches November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date is official, confirmed by Rockstar Games.
It isn't the first date announced. The game was originally positioned for Fall 2025, then delayed to May 26, 2026, and only after that moved to the current date. When confirming the new timeline, Rockstar published a note apologizing for the extra time. The message, in short, credits the delay to finishing the game to the level of polish its audience expects.
Confirmed platforms at launch: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC isn't on that list. See our dedicated PC status article for what is (and isn't) known about a future version.
The countdown below is calculated from Rockstar's confirmed release date. Since Rockstar hasn't published an exact global unlock time, the countdown uses 00:00 Eastern Time as an editorial reference point, not an official unlock time.
